EMPLOYEE SECURITY AWARENESS TRAINING: Make secure habits relevant to the work people do.

Employee security awareness training helps people recognise and handle the security situations they encounter in their work. Subdux develops practical learning around account protection, information sharing, payment requests and reporting, using relevant examples and exercises so staff understand the actions expected of them and where to get help.

Training

Give each audience something it can use.

A finance team handles different decisions from a developer, a recruiter or an administrator. Training should reflect those responsibilities and the systems, policies and reporting channels employees actually use. We establish the behaviours you want to improve, then select content and delivery around the audience's existing knowledge and working conditions.

Starting points

A consistent induction programme for new staff and contractors.

Targeted learning for roles handling sensitive information or consequential approvals.

Refresher sessions informed by questions, incidents, process changes or exercise results.

Connect the threat to the next sensible action.

Suspicious requests and impersonation

Examine unexpected instructions, urgency and changes to established arrangements; practise verification through a trusted route.

Accounts and authentication

Explain the use of password managers, MFA and recovery arrangements, including what to do about unexpected approval requests.

Information sharing

Work through appropriate recipients, approved channels, access permissions and accidental disclosure in familiar workflows.

Devices and everyday work

Address updates, software choices, remote working and reporting lost devices in the context of company arrangements.

Early reporting

Help staff recognise when to raise a concern, what information is useful and why a prompt report can matter even when the facts are incomplete.

Build understanding, then revisit it in practice.

Delivery can combine facilitated sessions, role-specific discussions, short exercises and supporting material. We use realistic choices to check comprehension rather than rely solely on attendance. Follow-up can revisit difficult topics or adapt content when tools, responsibilities or common requests change.

What you receive

A learning plan by audience; tailored session content and practical examples; reporting and verification guidance aligned with your processes; participation records where required; and an evaluation summary identifying topics for reinforcement. A wider programme can include a maintained schedule and material for induction or refreshers.

Frequently asked questions
Can training follow our existing policies and tools?

Yes. Content is more useful when it explains the approved processes staff are expected to use. We need the relevant policies, reporting contacts and workflow details to align the material accurately.

How is this different from phishing simulation?

Training explains and practises useful behaviours across several topics. A phishing simulation observes responses to a controlled message. The results of an exercise can inform learning, but the two services have different purposes and do not have to be commissioned together.

How will we know whether it worked?

Comprehension checks, scenario discussion and reporting feedback can help evaluate learning. Attendance records show participation. Sustained behaviour needs to be reviewed over time and alongside working processes, technical controls and changes in the audience.
